Distance Learning Support Centers

We are excited to announce that students and families will be able to access, by appointment, staff and community resources at Sandburg either in-person or virtually during the Distance Learning and hybrid models.

The goal is to engage family and community partners to support the needs of our students and families by offering various supports during the Distance Learning and hybrid models, including academic supports, social/emotional and mental health supports, and connecting students and families to community resources.

Students and families will be able to access staff and community resources at the school they attend either in-person or virtually during the Distance Learning and hybrid models.

Support for students will include tutoring services (in-person and virtually with EA’s and volunteers doing it virtually), mental health and chemical health supports, access to counselors, social workers, school psychologists, nurses, tech support, and connections to culture and climate specialists. All in-person visits will be by appointment only. All health protocols will be followed at each site.

Support for families will include access to information on how to access resources such as food supports, tech support, mental health and chemical health supports, Parents In Community classes. All in-person visits will be by appointment only. All health protocols will be followed at each site.
