AVID 8 got a glimpse of what it's like to attend college on their trip to St. Cloud State University on Wednesday, April 3. They attended a short Environmental Science lecture and participated in a water pollution lab. Students experienced college dining room food in Garvey Commons. They saw various academic buildings, the library and student help center, the D-II sports complex, and last but not least, The Underground where students socialize and have fun with many engaging activities and events. It was a wonderful experience. They were paid the highest compliment by one of the admissions staff that SMS AVID had the most well-behaved student group they have seen this school year! We are very proud of our AVID program.
