Vaccination Reminder

Dear Robbinsdale Area Schools Families,

We care deeply about the health and safety of our community and continue to recommend
following guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). Therefore, our School
Nurses want to remind families that students should continue to receive recommended
vaccinations.

The Minnesota Department of Health and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended
students who start Kindergarten, 7th grade and 12th grade receive new immunizations. In
accordance with Minnesota Statute, our district requires medical immunization records, a
medical exemption from a licensed healthcare provider or a signed notarized statement for
non-medical exemption.

Skipping vaccines and checkups can be dangerous, putting your student and those around
them at risk of serious diseases and viruses. Pediatricians and other healthcare providers are
seeing patients, with safety measures in place. #CallYourPediatrician for your student’s annual
well-child check-up and/or immunizations; contact your clinic directly to make an appointment.
Please request the clinic fax immunization records to your student's school or bring it to the
school health office.

We understand the impact COVID-19 has had on students and families, and we thank you for
